Hotel Review: Radisson Niagara Falls

This is a review from a stay last Memorial Day. I wanted to go somewhere for my birthday and convinced my friends to do a road-trip from Washington, DC to Niagara Falls and Toronto. We spent one night in Niagara Falls and another night in Toronto.

Our night in Niagara Falls was spent at the Radisson. The hotel is located on the Canadian side of the falls and in the new area.  The night was going for $299 Canadian dollars, but I spent 10,000 Club Carlson points and dropped the price to $199.

I took this picture from their website - mine did not come out well.
The hotel is one of the farthest in the new area. The hotel has parking for $20 a day. The reception area is right, when you enter. It has three desks with one dedicated to elites in Club Carlson.

To the right of the check-in desks is the gym and indoor heated pool.

The gym was sparse. A few pieces of equipment.

The hotel had plenty of places to sit. As you can see, color is not lacking in this hotel.

To the left of the check-in desks are various restaurants and gift shops:

Our room was the big surprise. Not one of us at the time had status with Club Carlson. Therefore, when we opened the door to see this, all of our mouth's dropped opened:

Yes, a falls view room. We did not pay for a falls view room. The room had two double beds:

The bathroom was great size, but nothing to write home about:

What we did like was the microwave and refrigerator in the room. This being a tourist area, many families are the typical guest. A refrigerator and microwave are important.

The hotel is a short walk to many other hotels and casinos. That night, we went to the "older area" and took a cabs both ways. The cost was about $15 for four people.

Overall, this hotel was great for a one night stay. We were close to all of the major attractions. The room was amazing and the price was average for that holiday weekend.

I would recommend this place over and over again!!!
